Experimental Woven Bamboo Piece125 viewsI attached the dyed woven piece to an old wooden fence. The dye ended up getting washed out after ample rainfalls. This project was in preparation for my next project which was to prepare a group of split bamboo pieces for someone who was going to make a bamboo scroll to paint on. The next 3 pictures show the bamboo scroll pieces.

Wide Bamboo Beads31 viewsThese are some wide bamboo beads that I made for a church prayer group. The beads were to be made to the size that people could hold in their hand and then close their hand around the beads while they prayed. June 24, 2006

Working in the shade of the Umbrella55 viewsThis picture was taken July 2, 2006. In Texas it is hot, so I found a place in the backyard to set up a table and used the umbrella to shield me from the sun. You can see my fan which I use to both to blow the dust away from me and to also keep me cool. On the right side of the picture is the battery operated Dremel equipped with a drill bit so that I could drill a hole quickly without switching to the drill press (as I only have one Dremel).
